Maintaining employment equity records


To comply with the ninth and final requirement under the Employment Equity Act, it is essential for you to maintain a system of employment equity records.

This will help you track your progress and also ensure full accountability.

The system you choose to use to maintain your records is entirely up to you. But as the employer, you must be able to demonstrate that you maintain records regarding:

  • your workforce
  • your employment equity plan
  • the implementation of employment equity in your workplace
